ArtsPool and Union Dance are delighted to be working together to produce the first fully comprehensive resource on Dance Tek Warriors.

Dance Tek Warriors is in fact a series of 3 separate works by different choreographers and is a fabulous choice for GCSE students . The piece draws its inspiration from a variety of accessible themes such as the playstation game Tekken and the idea of falling and isolation, and has a blend of dance styles including Capoeira, a hip-hop street dance style, Asian martial arts and contemporary. The musical accompaniment makes it doubly interesting for students of this age group - featuring a mix of rap , music by David Byrne and classical melodies as well as a specially commissioned score. The overall work is high impact and very physical with some wonderful lighting and interesting costume designs and is guaranteed to hook your cohort from the start.
